ABOUT COLBY SINGLETARY
On July 6th, 2019, Colby Singletary was in a tragic car accident that took his life. Colby was 18 years old and was going into his Senior Year of High School. Colby”Cheese” was truly a legend, he had the biggest heart and toughest mind. Funny, outgoing, smart, talented and athletic are just a few words that describe him as a person. He loved his life and made the best of every moment, whether that was taking the boat out for a ride, having fun with his friends, or doing anything outdoors! He was surrounded by a community who loved him dearly and never doubted his success in education & sports.
Colby was known for being a Two-Time State Champion Wrestler (going 53-1 in the past season) and a Star Football Player (soon-to-be Division-1 Football). He was also the Naples Daily News 2018 Male Athlete of the Year and Wrestler of the Year in 2017-18, as well as, a nominee for the award and a finalist for Wrestler of the Year this past season. He had offers to play D1 Football or Wrestle. He was and will always be a role model to many, he taught us all to live life to the fullest, unapologetically.
He will be greatly missed.
To keep Colby’s educational dreams alive, the Singletary Family has set up a Scholarship Fund. Scholarships will be awarded each year to (2) Collier County FHSAA Senior High School student athletes, 1 girl & 1 boy, to financially help continue their dreams of furthering their education. You may make a donation here, go to the Scholarship Page for more information, or you may email Niki Singletary at ColbysScholarshipFund@gmail.com.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Colby Singletary Scholarship Fund, which is a 501c3 Corporation.
